Genral Conference

Adam was very excited to listen to General Conference. He didn't quite know what that meant, but he knew it must be fun. He loved helping build a temporary couch downstairs by the computer and was VERY excited about the pile of treats we brought down. He also loved choosing his favorite toys to bring down with us. This is Adam waiting for it to begin.

And this is Adam "listening."

We didn’t think Adam was paying attention, but somehow he always heard, “In the name of Jesus Christ . . .” and then he would chime in with, “Amen.” During a later session, we gave Adam a special treat: his first Dum Dum Sucker. When President Eyring was speaking, he used the word “succor.” Adam jumped up from his toys and started pointing at the computer, while shouting, “He said sucker! He said sucker! Sucker! Sucker! Sucker!” Adam may not have understood everything, but he heard the most important parts. :)

And with a little practice, Adam has now learned the names of the members of the First Presidency. This is how our conversation goes:
Us: Adam, who did we see on the computer today?
Adam: Prophet
Us: What’s the Prophet’s name?
Adam: Prophet Monson
Us: Who are his counselors?
Adam: President Uchtdorf, President Eyring. (He even pronounces their names correctly!)

What a smart boy Adam is! And what smart parents Adam has in how they're teaching him!

I'm amazed! That's so awesome that he can say their names correctly. I loved the "succor" story!
